Dr. Assaf Zemach

Dr. Assaf Zemach

VP of R & D

Dr. Zemach earned his PhD from the internationally renowned Weizmann Institute of Science. During his PhD studies, Dr. Zemach studied molecular and cellular mechanisms of gene regulatory factors in plants. He also developed a biotechnological tool to regulate the activity of transcription factors. Dr. Zemach did his postdoctoral fellowship in the Plant & Microbial Biology Department at the distinguished University of California, Berkeley. His research was focused on epigenomics, that is systematic profiling of genome regulatory mechanisms shared among plants and animals. Dr. Zemach was appointed to the faculty of the School of Plant Sciences and Food Security at Tel Aviv University. Dr. Zemach experimental and computational research group investigated molecular mechanisms, developmental roles, and evolutionary pathways of epigenetics. Dr. Zemach has joined the team at Rinati Skin as the Head of the Plant Metabolic Division, where he refines and engineers metabolic pathways.
